Loughborough Lightning forward Sara Svoboda has been selected in the Canada matchday squad to face England on Saturday.
The 28-year-old has been named among the replacements for the first of two Test matches that kicks off at 2.30pm at the home of Exeter Chiefs, Sandy Park.
Canada go in search of their first win over the Red Roses, who have fellow Lightning players Helena Rowland and Cath O’Donnell in their starting line-up.
“Our team reconvened in Exeter over the weekend for the first time since July, and preparations for this first test match against England have gone well,” said Canada head coach Kevin Rouet.
“We know the task at hand and the importance of these matches in the team’s journey towards the 2025 Rugby World Cup. It is exciting to see the return of some experienced players, as well as newer players to the programme earning an opportunity to play in a match such as this.”
