Six of Loughborough Lightning’s international stars will be involved at Mattioli Woods Welford Road this weekend as England and Scotland face off.
Helena Rowland and Emily Scarratt will line up on the opposing side to clubmates Helen Nelson, Anne Young, Becky Boyd and Elis Martin for the Guinness Women’s Six Nations clash on Saturday (kick-off: 4.45pm, live on BBC Two, iPlayer, BBC Sport website and App).
John Mitchell’s England side top the standings after three rounds of action following wins over Italy (38-5), Wales (67-12) and Ireland (49-5), and go into their fixture against Scotland looking to maintain their perfect record with veteran backs Rowland and Scarratt hoping to earn their 38th and 118th caps off the bench respectively.
Scotland meanwhile edged out Wales (24-21) before defeats to France (15-38) and Italy (17-25) – and Bryan Easson’s side will be looking to climb the ladder with Nelson captaining their line-up from fly-half, prop Young and lock Boyd starting in the pack, and hooker Martin looking to make an impact from amongst the replacements.
