Loughborough Lightning’s Becky Boyd is set to make her senior international debut for Scotland this weekend.
The 20-year-old forward has been selected on the bench for the Guinness Women’s Six Nations Round 2 clash away against France on Saturday 29 March (kick-off: 1pm UK time).
Boyd qualifies for Scotland through her Glaswegian father and earned her first Scotland call-up after an impressive Premiership Women’s Rugby season, making eight appearances for the African Violets both in the second and back rows.
She is one of five Lightning players in Scotland’s matchday squad for the encounter at Stade Marcel-Deflandre – which is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
Player of the match in Scotland’s Round 1 win over Wales, Helen Nelson, remains at fly-half and as vice-captain for Saturday’s clash.
Fresh from making her first Six Nations appearance last time out, scrum-half Leia Brebner-Holden is Nelson’s half-back partner.
Anne Young starts once more at loosehead prop and Elis Martin operates as replacement hooker in La Rochelle.
