Local rugby clubs can now book their places at Northampton Saints and Loughborough Lightning matchday festivals for the 2024/25 season, with the dates for the new-look Saints/Lightning Clubs Cup competition now confirmed.
Following the announcement of Saints’ Gallagher Premiership and Investec Champions Cup schedule and Lightning’s Premiership Women’s Rugby fixtures, spaces at all matchday festivals are available to apply for now.
The Saints/Lightning Clubs Cup will see teams face off to be crowned the champions of that festival event – with the under-12s age group upwards playing competitively, and under-7s to under-11s judged on their embodiment of the Saints Community SPIRIT values throughout their matches.
The leading sides will raise a new Saints/Lightning Clubs Cup trophy, lead a parade of clubs within the stadium bowl at half-time during that day’s Saints or Lightning match, and have their photo taken under the posts with the trophy and either a Northampton or Loughborough Lightning player.
All Saints/Lightning Clubs Cup packages include space for one team to take part in the matchday festival, participate in the parade of clubs at half-time, and are open to all clubs within Saints’ region and beyond.
As part of the Saints/Lightning Clubs Cup matchday package, please be aware of the following:
- The number of teams that can attend matchday festivals are limited and given on a first come, first served basis.
- All clubs involved will participate in a parade of clubs at half-time, giving the children and a maximum of two coaches the opportunity to parade around the stadium with their team shirts on (matchday tickets will be required).
- All festivals will follow the RFU guidelines for each age group.
- Each team will need to pre-purchase a minimum of 10 tickets for the matchday fixture in order to take part (tickets will be available at a discounted rate to all teams).

Please note, you will need to apply for each matchday individually – so please fill in the form more than once if you would like to attend multiple Saints/Lightning Clubs Cup events.
