Scotland have selected five Loughborough Lightning players in their matchday squad for their Guinness Women’s Six Nations opener against Wales this weekend.
Scrum-half Leia Brebner-Holden and Helen Nelson have been selected as the half-back pairing, with the latter also operating as vice-captain for the contest that takes place at Hive Stadium on Saturday 22 March (kick-off: 4.45pm) – which is being broadcast live across BBC Two and iPlayer from 4.30pm.
Loosehead prop Anne Young completes the starting Lightning contingent, while hooker Elis Martin and tighthead prop Christine Belisle await their opportunity to impress as replacements.
Former Lightning forward Rachel Malcolm, who left the club at the end of the 2024/25 campaign, captains from blindside flanker.
