Emily Scarratt returns to the England matchday squad for this weekend’s Guinness Women’s Six Nations showdown with Ireland at Twickenham Stadium.
The Loughborough Lightning centre, who earned her 109th Red Roses cap against Italy in Round 1 but missed out on the victories that followed over Scotland and Wales, is named among the replacements for Saturday’s encounter (kick-off: 2.15pm).
For a fourth straight match in this year’s tournament, Sadia Kabeya starts in the back row as she moves to 17 England caps.
Over 46,500 supporters will be in attendance for the Round 4 match against former England assistant coach Scott Bemand’s side.
Head coach Mitchell said: “We are excited for the opportunity of another crack at Twickenham in front of our awesome fans. We want to continue to get better in our game and make the most of the experience to benefit us in the future.”
Scarratt and Kabeya’s involvement in the senior squad is in addition to the six Loughborough Lightning players selected in the England U20 Women’s matchday squad to play France on Saturday (kick-off: 5pm).
Lia Green, Catherine Wells and Ellie Roberts all start at Stade Jean-Mermoz in Rouen while Amelia Williams, Lucy Calladine and Carmela Morrall are named among the replacements.
