Loughborough Lightning’s Emily Scarratt will earn her 100th Red Roses start in this weekend’s showdown with New Zealand.
Having featured from the bench in last weekend’s victory over France, the 2014 World Cup winner will achieve cap 113 from the start on Saturday 14 September (kick-off: 2.30pm) in a re-run of the last two World Cup finals – with Scarratt also starting both of those encounters.
The centre becomes the third England women’s player to achieve a century of starts for her country, following in the footsteps of Sarah Hunter and Rocky Clark.
Helena Rowland, who was a try scorer last time out at Kingsholm Stadium, switches to the replacements and will move to 31 Red Roses caps when she enters proceedings.
“Our focus is to always stay focused on the main thing in our processes and how we are going to play against New Zealand,” head coach John Mitchell said.
“Every occasion at Allianz Stadium is really important to us and we know we will have to earn the right to contest a final here in 2025. We want to play here on a consistent basis and every time we go out and play here, we want to perform. We want to do it for the girls.”
