Rhys Edwards has named his Loughborough Lightning side for their clash with Worcester Warriors Women, as the side take to Epinal Way in the Allianz Premier 15s on Friday night.
After taking a hiatus for opening rounds of the TikTok Women’s Six Nations, the Premier 15s returns to action this weekend – with Lightning hosting local rivals Worcester under the lights in Loughborough.
Eighth-place Lightning make 11 changes from the side that sealed an emphatic 70-5 win at Wasps 70-5 last time out, with Katie Trevarthen picking up the captains duties on Friday.
Trevarthen is joined in the front row by hooker Phoebe Andrews and prop Grace Clifford, while Lilli Ives-Campion and Lucy Dale form the engine room.
Behind them Kendall Waudby, Sally Williams and Canadian international Sara Svoboda make up Lightning’s back row, with Megan Davey and Lia Green steering the team from the half-back berths.
Georgina Tasker and Carmela Morrell are the only backs that remain from the side that faced Wasps, with Ellen Scantlebury and Bo Westcombe-Evans coming into Lightning’s wings while Emma Hardy starts at outside centre.
