Northampton Saints’ Under-18s team has been named for a first home outing of the season, with Saturday’s Premiership Rugby Academy League fixture against Yorkshire now taking place at Shelford Rugby Club (kick-off: 5.30pm).
Head coach Charlie Reed makes a solitary change to the starting line-up announced last week – with the opening fixture against Sale Sharks ultimately postponed due to freezing weather – bringing Noah Agnew onto the wing.
Among the replacements, Lucas Veevers, Billy Ray and England Under-18s international Ollie Hull join the squad.
Ahead of the fixture, head coach Reed said: “It was obviously frustrating to see last weekend’s game cancelled, but that will hopefully add more fuel to the fire for the lads to make a positive start against a good Yorkshire side.
“We are also incredibly grateful to the team at Shelford Rugby Club for allowing us to use their all-weather surface, given the freezing forecast once again.
“The boys are really excited to get going and show what they can do.”
The Under-18s’ fixture against Sale will now take place at CorpAcq Stadium on Sunday 26 January (kick-off: 1pm), following on from a Round 3 trip to Newcastle on Saturday 18 January (kick-off: 3pm).
