Scoring five tries in a Spring afternoon thriller, the Saints Academy U17s took to the main pitch at Franklin's Gardens yesterday to secure victory as they hosted Leinster Schools in only their second game of the season.
First narrowly beating Independent Schools RFC Lambs back in February, the U17s worked hard to post a 33-12 win over Leinster.
Leading 21-7 at the break, Ro Kevuel Tavainavesi, Sam Cappaert, Fred Betteridge, Sol Hyde and Jake Johnson all crossed the whitewash for the hosts while Fin Creighton was on the money with his boot, racking up eight points of his own in conversions.
The win sets the U17s up well as they travel to Oval Park to face Leicester Tigers on Saturday (April 22nd).
