Northampton Saints is relaunching its Affiliate Club Programme for more clubs to get involved and reap the rewards of a host of benefits in 2025.
The Saints Community scheme currently has 11 clubs enrolled across its catchment area borders within Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and North Essex.
Now the window of opportunity for more to join has been opened, allowing clubs to take advantage of a special relationship with the defending Gallagher Premiership champions.
Signing up now will allow clubs to be affiliated with Saints for the 2025/26 season, as well as with Saints’ Saints’ partner club, Premiership Women’s Rugby side Loughborough Lightning.
“The Affiliate Club Scheme allows us to create a deeper connection with clubs in our community, providing the support of their local Premiership club and all the opportunities that presents,” said Community manager, Ben Lawrence.
“The core group of clubs already involved in the scheme have seen the benefits of this relationship, as have we, and we are keen to ensure that other clubs are able to access this as we launch the scheme in 2025.”
Affiliate clubs also get access to a wealth of support, including:
- Ticket Access to nominated* Saints and Lightning games at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens
- Entry into the Club of the Match ballot each season
- Kickback for hosting camps
- Access to the community message board and forum
- A place on the Northampton Saints Community Conference
- Community support at your club events
- Website presence and club promotion
Affiliate clubs must have a mini and junior section, be within the Northampton Saints Academy borders and be RFU accredited.
Clubs currently signed up are Bugbrooke RUFC, Brackley RUFC, Daventry RFC, Ely Tigers RFC, Ipswich RFC, Long Buckby RFC, Northampton Casuals RFC, Old Northamptonians RFC, Peterborough RFC and Stewarts & Lloyds RFC.
