Voting for the cinch Player of the Month award for January is open, with supporters able to choose the Saint they believe made the biggest contribution on the pitch in the first month of 2025.
The competition will remain open until Monday 10 February, when the winning player will be announced by Northampton Saints and cinch.
Throughout the season, cinch are also offering up a range of prizes for those who vote for the award, with one lucky supporter each month selected at random after voting closes. For January, one lucky winner will receive a Saints ball signed by the winner of this month’s vote!
Saints came out of January with a mixed bag of results in both the Gallagher Premiership and Investec Champions Cup, collecting home victories over Bath Rugby (35-34) and Munster Rugby (34-32) while falling to Stade Francais (45-35) and Harlequins (22-19).
With those clashes in mind, Saints’ coaches have selected five nominees for the monthly award; Josh Kemeny, Curtis Langdon, Tom Pearson, James Ramm and Tom Seabrook.
Back row Kemeny featured in all four of Northampton’s clashes in January, captaining the side against Stade and Harlequins and leading by example – making some 49 tackles across the month and hitting 91 attacking rucks.
Fellow forward Langdon, while only featuring in three of Saints’ outings, also excelled in Northampton’s best stats making 41 tackles and hitting 46 attacking rucks, while making some 13 carries against Bath alone and scoring a try against both Stade and Munster.
Likewise, back row Pearson enjoyed a strong month in Black, Green and Gold, playing in all four of Northampton’s outings and performing on both sides of the ball – making 21 carries and 55 tackles throughout the month and scoring against Harlequins.
Ramm is another player who has been ever-present for Saints throughout January, featuring at both wing and fullback across the four clashes and scoring an all-important try against Munster, while making 39 carries, 21 tackles and hitting 32 attacking rucks last month.
Winger Seabrook hit his try-scoring stride in January, featuring in all four of Saints’ outings – scoring a Champions Cup hat-trick against Munster before crossing against Harlequins in the return back to the Premiership.
