cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens is hosting two Inter Service Championship fixtures for the first time this weekend, with the men’s and women’s teams from the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force going head-to-head in Northampton.
The Senior Women will kick off the day on Saturday (19 April) at 1pm, with the Senior Men playing at 4pm. The matches kick off the 2025 Inter Service Championship, with Army v Navy at Allianz Stadium (Twickenham) on Saturday 3 May and Army v RAF at Kingsholm Stadium (Gloucester) on Saturday 17 May to follow.
The clash also sees a return to the East Midlands for the Navy’s Sam Matavesi, who played in the 2024 Gallagher Premiership triumph for Saints before moving to Lyon OU last summer.
Tickets for the event – which covers both matches – are still available for just £17/22* for adults and £5* for juniors.

- We’re delighted to be joined by solo-artist Adam Harilaou on Saturday, he’ll join us in the Supporter Village pre-match and in-between the two fixtures, before returning in the Rodber Bar after the men’s fixture concludes.
- The RAF’s Air Cadet Band will perform the National Anthem before both matches.
- Don‘t miss the mascot race on the pitch between the matches – with Bernie the Dog (Northampton Saints), Nelson The Cat (Royal Navy and Royal Marine Charity), Ben Elephant (RAF Benevolent Fund) and Spoony (Wooden Spoon Children's Charity) all hoping to claim the bragging rights!

+ FOOD & DRINK
- A selection of bars and food stalls are open within the Village throughout matchday.
- The Rodber Bar will also be open throughout matchday.
- Please be aware that cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens is a cashless stadium; all bars and food outlets will only accept card payments.
- There will be a staggered bar closure around the stadium, ending in the Rodber Bar at 8pm.
+ CAR PARKING
- Car Parking (in Car Park D, NN5 5JT) will be available for £5 on the day via contactless payment upon arrival. Car parking tickets are not available to purchase in advance. Car Parks open at 10am, with the stadium opening its gates at 11am.
- Saints seasonal car passes valid for the 2024/25 season will NOT be accepted for this match.
- After the Car Parks close at 12am, there will be no access to any vehicle left behind until Tuesday morning.
- Given that cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens sits in a residential area of the town, Saints strongly urge all supporters to use the Club’s car parks. Should they choose not to do so, supporters must park with due care and respect for the needs of local residents and businesses.
+ SMOKING
- cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens is a NO SMOKING stadium. Smoking and the use of e-cigarettes is not permitted anywhere in the stadium or Supporter Village pre, during or post-match.
- Supporters wishing to smoke will be allowed to exit the stadium during half-time to use one of the designated smoking areas outside Gates 1, 2, 3 and 4 – stewards will be on hand to direct you and will manage exit and re-entry into the stadium.
+ CHARITY DONATIONS
- The RAF Benevolent Fund (RAFBF) and Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC) have both been selected as the Charities of the Day.
- Both charities will have a presence around the ground on matchday, but you can easily play your part by donating £1 to your total when visiting the stadium bars – simply ask our staff to add the donation to your order.
