Sam Dickinson is eagerly anticipating the start of another Aviva Premiership campaign this Friday night.
The forward has been involved in two out of the three pre-season friendlies, and after ‘enjoying’ an extended summer with the club’s team of conditioning coaches the players can’t wait to get into action against Worcester at Sixways.
“It’s pretty exciting,” Dickinson says in this week’s podcast, the first of the new season. “It’s been the longest wait I’ve known in a pre-season, and the boys are chomping at the bit and ready to go.
“The summer’s been important because we’ve had a few changes, which has been unusual in my time here. The longer you spend together the better you get to know each other and the better you’ll be as a team.
“It’s going to be tough against Worcester. They’re going to be hungry and know that the first win is always important. We know they’re going to be a tough team to beat and we’re taking them seriously.”
