Voting for the cinch Player of the Month award for March is open, with supporters able to choose the Saint they believe made the biggest contribution on the pitch throughout the month.
The competition will remain open until Monday 7 April, when the winning player will be announced by Northampton Saints and cinch.
Throughout the season, cinch are also offering up a range of prizes for those who vote for the award, with one lucky supporter each month selected at random after voting closes. For March, one lucky winner will receive a Saints ball signed by the winner of this month’s vote!
Saints dropped out of the Premiership Rugby Cup in March after a disappointing loss to Ealing Trailfinders (26-43) in the competition’s quarter-finals, before getting back into Gallagher Premiership action against Leicester Tigers (0-33) and Sale Sharks (27-24).
With those clashes in mind, Saints’ coaches have selected five nominees for the monthly award: Tom James, Josh Kemeny, Curtis Langdon, Henry Pollock and James Ramm.
James enjoyed a solid month in Black, Green and Gold despite Saints’ run of form, making five turnovers across the three games in March. The scrum-half also took over Saints’ fly-half duties in Northampton’s most-recent outing – performing strongly despite the narrow loss at Salford Stadium.
Kemeny featured in the back row in both of Saints’ outings in the Gallagher Premiership last month, making six carries, 12 tackles and hitting some 44 attacking rucks across those games.
Hooker Langdon also enjoyed a strong month in Black, Green and Gold, starting both league matches for Northampton to make 19 carries, 11 tackles and hit 29 attacking rucks across his 148 minutes of rugby.
Back row Pollock excelled in his two matches for Saints on returning from making his England debut – scoring a try against Sale, while also making 14 carries, 168 metres and 14 tackles across the month.
Featuring in all of Saints’ outings across March, Ramm performed strongly at both wing and fullback – scoring a hat-trick of tries against Ealing while also making 38 carries and 12 tackles.
