The planned fixture between Loughborough Lightning and Exeter Chiefs, originally scheduled to take place on Saturday 10 December at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens, has been relocated to Loughborough University owing to a partially-frozen pitch.
The game will instead be played on an all-weather pitch at the University on Saturday, kicking off at the new time of 11.30am. Entry to the re-arranged match in Loughborough is free-of-charge.
Ticket purchasers for the match in Northampton will have the cost of their match ticket credited to their account and be contacted by the Club with full details shortly. Any further questions can be directed to [email protected].
“Despite our best efforts over the course of the last week, the freezing conditions we’re currently experiencing in Northampton have prevented us from hosting Loughborough Lightning’s match against Exeter Chiefs this weekend,” said Marketing and Communications Director, Tim Percival.
“We’re very sorry for the inconvenience to any supporters who had made plans already to attend the match.
“We’re grateful to Loughborough University for acting so quickly to help us relocate this game on their all-weather pitch and look forward to hosting Lightning’s next home game on Sunday 8 January.”
