A Ticket Pool which helps disabled supporters attend Northampton Saints games, has generously been renewed to run until the end of the 2023/24 season.
The Victor Harris Ticket Pool – set up in memory of Saints supporter Victor Harris who sadly passed away in 2021 – was launched by Victor’s widow, Karan. Karan’s generous donation of Victor’s Season Ticket has helped a number of disabled supporters (and their carer / companion) to attend home matches at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens throughout this season.
Now, the Pool has been extended to cover all games in both the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons, with Karan’s generosity also supported by donations from Saints supporters.
“We’re over the moon that Karan has chosen to extend the Victor Harris Ticket Pool for two more seasons,” said Jamie Higgins, Saints’ Inclusion Officer.
“Victor’s legacy, and Karan’s generosity, has helped us welcome disabled supporters and their companions to every match at the Gardens this season – allowing those who might not normally be able to attend a priceless opportunity to see live sport.
“We’re extremely grateful to Karan and look forward to working alongside her for the next two seasons.”
Supporters with learning or physical disabilities* will be able to register for the pool ahead of the start of the 2022/23 season, with the opportunity to win a ticket for themselves and a carer to attend one of Saints’ home fixtures.
The pool will be drawn as each match goes on sale, and entrants will be notified if they have been successful. If successful, entrants will be able to accept the ticket or decline if they are unable to make the game (with the tickets redrawn in this scenario)
Once successful, a supporter will not be included in further draws throughout the season to allow for a fair opportunity for everyone registered to attend.
