Tom Litchfield named cinch Player of the Month for November

Tom Litchfield has been named cinch Player of the Month for November, after the centre’s performances throughout the month impressed Northampton Saints supporters. 

The 22-year-old – who signed a new contract with the Club earlier today – featured in every minute of rugby Saints played in November, where Northampton ended the first block of Premiership Rugby Cup matches unbeaten after home wins against Leicester Tigers (31-12), Nottingham Rugby (31-29) and a hard-fought away victory at Championship leaders Coventry Rugby (10-19).

Rounding out the month was a frustrating loss to Gloucester Rugby, with the Cherry and Whites running out 17-25 winners at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens to end Saints' unbeaten home record in the Gallagher Premiership.

Litchfield impressed on both sides of the ball, making some 43 carries, 29 tackles and four turnovers throughout the month, while also getting on the scoresheet against Tigers. 

And Litchfield took home the November prize after topping the supporter vote, coming away with 31% of the votes to finish ahead of fellow nominees George Makepeace-Cubitt, Chunya Munga and Craig Wright. 

Throughout the season, cinch will also be offering up a range of prizes for those who vote for the award, with one lucky supporter each month selected at random after voting closes.

This month, Ryan Deadman was chosen out of over 700 supporters who voted to collect a Saints ball signed by the centre.
