Northampton Saints’ Investec Champions Cup Round-of-16 match against ASM Clermont Auvergne has been confirmed for Friday 4 April (kick-off: 8pm).
The men in Black, Green and Gold booked themselves a spot in the knockout stages of the competition – and a home tie in the Round-of-16 – with wins over Castres Olympique, Vodacom Bulls, and Munster Rugby.
Northampton’s only win over Clermont came in January 2018, as a Ben Foden wonder-try inspired Saints to a 34-21 victory at cinch Stadium. The sides last met the following season (2018/19), when the French side triumphed in three high-scoring showdowns in the Challenge Cup.
Should Saints progress, another home clash in Northampton awaits against either Castres Olympique or Benetton Rugby in the quarter-finals of the competition.
Tickets for Saints vs Clermont will go on sale next week. Season Ticket Holders and Members will be able to take advantage of priority access windows before tickets are placed on general sale.
