Saints name team for Foundation Day clash against Bristol Bears

Northampton Saints have named their team to face Bristol Bears this Saturday, as the Club‘s Foundation Day returns to cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens for Round 15 of the Gallagher Premiership.

The men in Black, Green and Gold secured a 35-34 away victory at Newcastle Falcons last time out and now turn their attentions to Bristol – a side Saints’ have enjoyed mixed results against in recent seasons.

The clash marks Northampton Saints Foundation’s annual Foundation Day event, which aims to both raise awareness and funds for the Foundation – who use the power of sport and the values of rugby to inspire, support and educate people across their social inclusion and education programmes. Fraser Dingwall returns to the fold against Bristol, captaining the men in Black, Green and Gold and joining Scotland international Rory Hutchinson in Saints’ midfield when third-place Bristol come town.

Outside them Tom Litchfield shifts from starting in Saints’ centres last week to line up on the wing against Bears, joining returning Tommy Freeman at No. 14 and James Ramm – who recovers from the injury that kept him out of last week’s match in Newcastle to start at fullback.

Fin Smith – who was 100% from the tee in Saints’ clash last week – starts in an all-England half-back partnership for Northampton, joining Alex Mitchell there against Bristol.

In the forwards, Saints name Emmanuel Iyogun, Curtis Langdon and Trevor Davison in the front row, while Temo Mayanavanaua and Alex Coles start behind them in the engine room.

Josh Kemeny and Henry Pollock – who was named among the nominees for the 2025 Investec Player of the Year earlier this week – return to action as Bears come to Northampton in Round 15, while No. 8 Juarno Augustus shifts back to the starting line-up after featuring from amongst the replacements last week.

Saints opt for a five-three bench this weekend, with the likes of Tom West, Elliot Millar Mills, last week’s man of the match Tom James and Will Glister – who scored on his Gallagher Premiership debut last week – set to enter the action against Bristol.

Tickets for Saturday’s clash remain available from £24 adult / £8 child* HERE.
