Northampton Saints backs George Furbank and Tommy Freeman have both been selected again by England as Steve Borthwick’s side face Australia this weekend, with Ollie Sleightholme also coming onto the bench for the clash at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham.
Sleightholme will earn his third international cap should he enter the action from amongst the replacements, while Furbank and Freeman – who start at fullback and on the wing respectively – will both make their 13th Test appearances from the start of the match.
Borthwick’s starting XV remains unchanged from last weekend’s narrow defeat to New Zealand, but Sleightholme is one of two changes on the bench, with Luke Cowan-Dickie preferred to Theo Dan in the side to face the Wallabies.
“Facing Australia is always a massive challenge, and we’ll work diligently this week to ensure we’re physically and tactically prepared to take on the Wallabies,” said Borthwick.
“The passion and energy from the crowd at Allianz Stadium last weekend was absolutely brilliant, from the opening whistle to the final moments, and we can't wait to be back at home this Saturday."
