The Northampton Saints team has been announced for Saturday’s derby day Anglo-Welsh Cup trip to Leicester.
Christian Day returns to the team for his 200th first team appearance and has been given the captain’s armband, too. His second row partner, David Ribbans, is at the opposite end of the experience scale, the 21-year-old making his club debut since arriving from Western Province at the start of January.
Elsewhere Sam Olver comes in for the injured JJ Hanrahan at fly half, and Sam Dickinson will have his first action since November’s win over Worcester at Sixways.
There are a limited number of tickets remaining available for the game via the Welford Road box office, and supporters who are not making the trip can follow the action live on BT Sport or www.saintslive.co.uk
First team coach Alan Dickens previews the action in this week’s The Saints TV Show, which also includes Harry Mallinder’s 15 Questions and recaps of the action from the Champions Cup trip to Montpellier and the Under-18s’ most recent Premiership Rugby Academies League outing.
