Premiership Rugby has today announced 22 rounds of fixtures for the 2020/21 campaign – with Northampton Saints kicking off the new term with a trip to this evening’s opponents, Sale Sharks, on Friday 20 November.
The men in Black, Green and Gold will be looking for a fast start to the new season, and Harlequins will be the first side to visit Franklin’s Gardens in Round Two (Saturday 28 November), before a trip to Ashton Gate to face Bristol Bears (Friday 4 December) in front of the BT Sport cameras.
Following the first couple of rounds of European competition, a mouth-watering festive schedule sees Northampton lock horns with Worcester Warriors in a televised Boxing Day fixture on home soil, and then travel to London Irish’s new Brentford home (Sunday 3 January) for the first clash of 2021.
But it is Round Six most Saints supporters will be looking out for, with the East Midlands Derby coming to Franklin’s Gardens on Saturday 9 January, also live on BT Sport.
Precise dates and kick-off times for Rounds 7 to 22 are subject to live TV selections. The Premiership Rugby Cup will be staged as a midweek competition in the 2020-21 season, starting after the Six Nations, with matches live on BT Sport.
