Saints' Courtney Lawes and George North have been named in the British and Irish Lions squad for this summer’s tour of New Zealand.
For England lock Lawes, it will be a first trip with the famous touring side, while North heads down under for the second time having starred in the 2013 winning series against Australia.
They join an esteemed list of players, as well as coach Sir Ian McGeechan, to have earned Lions call-ups while with the Saints, Blair Swannell the first in 1899’s retrospective tour.
