Northampton Saints Community team is hosting a Rugby World Cup Secondary School Festival to mark the 100-day milestone ahead of the 2025 tournament coming to the town.
A total of six matches are being staged at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens this summer, starting with the double header on Sunday 24 August when Ireland take on Japan (kick-off: 12pm) and South Africa tackle Brazil (kick-off: 2.45pm).
To celebrate the milestone in the tournament countdown, Saints Community is hosting the RWC Secondary School Festival on Friday 16 May at the Gardens, with the aim of engaging and inspiring girls to play and give rugby a try.
The festival is open to all abilities, whether you play rugby regularly or have never picked up a rugby ball before. Teams will be grouped based on experience level.
RWC Secondary School Festival key information
- Friday 16 May at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens.
- Runs from 9.30am until 1pm. The festival will involve half a day of playing rugby.
- Festival is open to girls in the Under-12s age group (Year 7).
- All games will be seven-a-side and be non-contact.
- Sign up your school for FREE by clicking HERE!
- Schools can bring a maximum of 10 girls per team.
- Please note, depending on sign ups timings might change slightly. If this is the case we will communciate this to you once sign ups have closed.
- Sign ups will close on Wednesday 7 May at 9am.
- The number of teams that can attend the festival are limited and given on a first come, first served basis.
- All festivals will follow the RFU guidelines.
