Northampton Saints’ Robbie Smith has been named the cinch Player of the Month for March, with the hooker’s impressive performances in Black, Green and Gold throughout the month seeing him top the supporter vote.
Northampton took to the field three time across March, with clashes on the road at Bristol Bears and London Irish sandwiching a romping 45-26 victory over Bath at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens.
And it was the 24-year-old hooker who claimed the majority of the supporter vote to take home his first award of the season as he edged out fellow nominees Juarno Augustus, Tommy Freeman and Fin Smith.
Smith enjoyed a successful month in a Saints shirt, claiming the Man of the Match award against Bath while crossing the whitewash twice in that match.

Throughout the season, cinch will also be offering up a range of prizes for those who vote for the award, with one lucky supporter each month selected at random after voting closes.
This month’s winner was Nick Arrenberg, who was selected at random out of over 500 supporters who voted on the cinch Player of the Month award to win a personalised signed Saints shirt.
