The Northampton Saints 7s Series is returning for its eleventh season in 2025, with places now available for schools to book on the hugely popular tournament for the coming year.
Created back in 2012, Northampton Saints’ age-group 7s Series sees schools go head-to-head in the shorter form of the game throughout the spring tournaments across Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Suffolk.
Thousands of students from hundreds of schools take part in regional tournaments across six venues this season – with the boys Under-13s and Under-18s regional festivals coupled with two girls-only tournaments for Under-16s and Under-18s.
And the 2025 iteration of the competition will begin at RHS Suffolk at the end of January, with the regional tournaments running throughout the region across the following two months and coming to a close at The Perse School in March. Please see a full list of dates below.
The Series then culminates with the winners and runners-up from each county festival competing for the Trophy, Bowl and Plate at Finals Day at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens in April – with last season’s competition seeing Felstead School take home the Trophy, while Northampton School for Boys and New Hall School lifted the Plate and the Bowl respectively.
This season, to support the sustainability of the programme there is a charge being introduced for entry to the festivals. The entry fee for this season’s Northampton Saints 7s Series is £100 + VAT. This is a one-off charge and covers a school’s entry to all age groups.
