Fin Smith has been named cinch Player of the Month for December, after the fly-half’s performances throughout the month impressed Northampton Saints supporters.
The 22-year-old – who was named in England's Guinness Six Nations Squad earlier this week – enjoyed another strong month in Black, Green and Gold as he featured in all four of Saints’ outings – where Saints began the Investec Champions pool stages unbeaten as they defeated Castres Olymique (38-8) and Vodacom Bulls (21-30), before a disappointing loss to Saracens (39-24) in the Gallagher Premiership was righted with a resounding victory over Newcastle Falcons (61-0).
Smith started a fly-half in each of those four matches, reached half a century of Saints appearances against Castres and scored 34 points with his boot throughout the month – while also making 44 tackles and securing six turnovers in December.
And Smith took home the December prize after topping the supporter vote, coming away with 32% of the votes to finish ahead of fellow nominees Trevor Davison, Tommy Freeman, Alex Mitchell and Henry Pollock.

Throughout the season, cinch will also be offering up a range of prizes for those who vote for the award, with one lucky supporter each month selected at random after voting closes.
This month, Nicola Maycock was chosen out of over 700 supporters who voted to collect a Saints ball signed by the fly-half.
