Elite Insurance has entrenched the company's Elite Sponsorship of Northampton Saints by putting pen to paper for the naming rights of the South Stand at Franklin’s Gardens.
This stand, which both dominates the stadium and is one of the most visible parts of Franklin’s Gardens from the surrounding roads and approaches, will be known as The Elite Insurance Stand for the next five years.
The formal unveiling will be at this Saturday’s Premiership opener against Bath, and follows the news earlier this year of Elite Insurance’s new Elite Sponsorship deal with the Saints.
“We’re delighted to be putting our name to the Elite Insurance Stand,” said Jason Smart, group chief executive at Elite Insurance. “We have a superb relationship with the Saints that has extended from a sponsorship of the team to supporting the club’s outstanding community work and now becoming part of the fabric of Franklin’s Gardens itself.
“With the Premiership and European Rugby Champions Cup now being shown worldwide on live TV we know that Elite Insurance will receive superb coverage and exposure across a range of media over the coming years.”
“We take our time before committing to naming rights of a stand as it is one of the most prestigious and high-profile sponsorship opportunities available at the club,” said Saints chief executive Allan Robson. “Over the past few years we have worked increasingly closely with Elite Insurance across a range of areas, and to have them become the new sponsor of the South Stand is a natural step.
“We’re looking forward to having their name on the Elite Insurance Stand for the next few years.”
Thanks to Elite Insurance 12-year-old Aidan Faires from Daventry will be running out as one of the Saints team’s mascots before the clash with Bath, and supporters will be able to win prizes in the Match Day Village before kick off just by having their photo taken by a member of the club’s social media team using the special Elite Insurance picture frame.
