Vote now for your cinch Player of the Month for September and win!

Voting for the cinch Player of the Month award for September is open, with supporters able to choose the Saints they believe made the biggest contribution on the pitch across the month.

The competition will remain open until Tuesday 15 October, when the winning player will be announced by Northampton Saints and cinch.

Throughout the season, cinch are also offering up a range of prizes for those who vote for the award, with one lucky supporter each month selected at random after voting closes. For September, one lucky winner will receive a Saints ball signed by all the members of the 2024/25 squad!

Northampton kicked off their Gallagher Premiership campaign with a disappointing defeat to Bath Rugby at the Rec (38-12), but bounced back to seal their first win of the term on home soil at Exeter Chiefs came to town (30-24) – securing their tenth consecutive win at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens in the process.

With those clashes in mind, Saints’ coaches have selected four nominees for the monthly award; Trevor Davison, Rory Hutchinson, Josh Kemeny and Fin Smith

In Saints’ front row, tighthead prop Davison has been on rampaging form – hitting some 33 attacking rucks across the two matches, and keeping Saints record clean at the scrum as the men in Black, Green and Gold won 100% of their own scrums in September.

Scotland international Hutchinson impressed on both sides of the ball in Saints’ opening clashes, with the centre making 15 carries against Bath and Chiefs while also making four turnovers in defence, the most of any Saints player in those matches.

Making his first two appearances in Black, Green and Gold, Saints’ summer signing Kemeny has already made his presence known in the league – making eight carries, 19 tackles and hitting 34 attacking rucks across his two outings at back row.

Finally, fly-half Smith has continued his flying form of last season – making six carries and 24 tackles against Chiefs alone, with his 15 points from the tee that day earning him the Player of the Match medal.
