Angus Scott-Young has been named cinch Player of the Month for February, after the back rower’s performances throughout the month impressed Northampton Saints supporters.
The 27-year-old was ever-present in a Saints shirt last month as the men in Black, Green and Gold secured their spot in the Premiership Rugby Cup quarter-finals, with resounding wins over Coventry (50-23) and Nottingham (33-66) sealing their place at the top of Pool 3 despite a disappointing loss to Leicester Tigers (54-33) on the road.
Scott-Young captained Saints throughout their final Cup pool rounds, leading from the front as he made 41 tackles, 25 carries and hit 48 attacking rucks across the month.
And Scott-Young took home the February prize after topping the supporter vote, coming away with 39% of the votes to finish ahead of fellow nominees Fyn Brown, Billy Pasco, Ed Prowse and Charlie Savala.
Throughout the season, cinch will also be offering up a range of prizes for those who vote for the award, with one lucky supporter each month selected at random after voting closes.
This month, Susannah Gee was chosen out of over 500 supporters who voted to collect a Saints ball signed by the back rower.
