After a hotly-contested supporter vote, Northampton Saints scrum-half Alex Mitchell has been named Travis Perkins Player of the Month for April.
The 24-year-old claimed the award after beating fellow nominees George Furbank, Lewis Ludlam, and Api Ratuniyarawa for his efforts across the Gallagher Premiership and European Challenge Cup.

The scrum-half continued his rich run of form throughout April, being named Land Rover Player of the Week for his efforts against Bath before taking home the Man of the Match medal in Saints’ nail-biting victory over Quins.
Saints and Travis Perkins have joined forces this season to offer supporters the chance to win fantastic prizes, while rewarding Northampton’s players for their stellar performances throughout the campaign.
This month’s winner was Amanda Griffin, who was selected at random out of over 500 supporters who voted on the Travis Perkins Player of the Month award to win £50 worth of Saints Store vouchers.
