Munster vs Northampton Saints

Ludlam trucks it up the left and Freeman comes so close to scoring as he is hauled down by the last defender! Saints knock-on a couple of phases later so Munster clear to halfway.

Saints defend well, forcing Munster backwards, but Ramm knocks on in a tackle and we come back for a scrum.

Saints come within inches of scoring as they work the ball upfield from a lineout. Dingwall, Hill and Ludlam all make big carries, but as Munster defend their line, Northampton are penalised for a neck roll.

Munster pin Mitchell to win a penalty for not releasing, and kick to the corner, but there's Coles – on for Moon – over the ball to win it straight back. Lawes is also replaced by Scott-Young.

Ramm with a brilliant turnover, but as Saints try to break quickly, Hutchinson knocks on.

Saints' defence weathers a storm from Munster who use their pack to look for gainline ball. The hosts revert to the boot and Furbank calls for a mark.

Saints make a mess of the Munster lineout drive, and then Haywood snaffles the scrum-half to force a turnover!

Munster win a penalty of their own, but send the kick into the corner in search of a bonus point.

Lawes' pass goes forward outside the Munster 22, but Hill rumbles through the Munster scrum and wins a penalty!

Munster kick it out on the full so Saints come up again. Dingwall is now on for Proctor.

Good start from Saints as they generate quick ball and move upfield, but while Munster halt their progress, they win a scrum penalty.

Haywood's throw isn't straight so Munster get the ball back, then win a penalty as Lawes puts his hands on the floor trying to force a turnover.

Saints turn down a penalty in front of the posts, with the hosts offside and Smith kicking to the corner.

Freeman intercepts and puts Munster back in their own 22 with a grubber into touch. The hosts clear to halfway and Saints attack again.

Hutchinson probes with a good chip towards the corner, but Haley gathers and the hosts recover to clear. Freeman carries into traffic but is held up and Munster regain possession.

End to end stuff as the two teams exchange kicks, with Furbank eventually winning the battle of the boots and finding touch inside the Munster half.

Great energy from Saints and Ludlam makes good ground, but the opportunity goes begging as Proctor can't gather and Munster clear.

Saints build some phases in Munster territory, with Hutchinson and Proctor making ground. There's a knock-on from Hill but Munster hack it out on the full and Northampton get another chance.

Mitchell does well to clear to halfway, and while Munster gather the lineout and look to go wide, it's knocked on in the midfield and Saints regain possession.

Haley kicks out on the full with Munster looking to attack, and Waller steps in for throwing duty, hitting Moon.

Saints get the shove on but it's adjudged the visitors aren't driving straight and it's a penalty to Munster. Carbery sends the ball into the corner...

Northampton concede a free kick so Munster will now have the put in.

Furbank sees his kick go out on the full and Munster have an attacking lineout on the 10m line, but Saints get off the line well and the hosts knock on.
