Bristol Bears vs Northampton Saints

Saints hold Bristol's maul but the home side manage to get the ball away and play on.

Salakaia-Loto is up for the lineout and Saints push forwards. Skosan comes down the right but his chip over the top bobbles into touch. Lineout Bristol in their own 22. 

Collins and Litchfield push forwards again but Saints knock the ball on in contact and Randall clears to touch. Lineout Saints on halfway. 

Saints push forwards from the restart and Waller pushes up into the 22 now.

Saints gather the bouncing ball on the restart and Litchfield boots it through into space. But Bristol get there first and clear to touch. Lineout Saints.

Bristol think they've scored again and we're with the TMO.

Bristol think they've scored but the referee says held up. There's an advantage coming for Bristol in the build up though and we come back for it. Bristol tap and go quickly.

Saints hold Bristol's maul and Randall has to go alone. He's taken down by Saints on the five metre line but still Bristol push. 

Penalty Bristol at the breakdown as Saints go off their feet and Williams puts the ball into the corner. 

Bristol break threw off the restart and are back into Saints' half quickly. Lloyd tries to come up the right but he's held just outside Saints' 22 now. 

Cruse, Garside, Litchfield and Grayson all enter play as we set the lineout, with Wilkins, Braley, Dingwall and Smith all making way.

Saints are up to the five metre line and still pushing but they're penalised at the breakdown and Williams clears to touch for a lineout. 

Collins slices through Bristol's line after Uren sends the ball back Saints' way. He gets up to Bristol's 22 before he's taken. Saints play on there now. 

Bristol work up to halfway from the restart but Saints hold firm and  Randall sends it skyward. Braley is under it and he returns it to Bristol. They play on on the hallway line again.

Moon disrupts the lineout but Bristol manage to keep the ball and play on.

Bristol work up to Saints' 22 and earn the penalty there as Saints are found offside. Williams puts the ball into the corner. 

Saints work out of their 22 off the restart quickly before Bralye puts the ball on his boot. Bristol gather and play on on hallway.

Saints whip the ball wide left to right off the lineout and push on halfway.

Bristol whip it wide off the lineout but Saints hold firm on the 22.

Saints come forwards off the back of the scrum and make it up to the 22 before Braley boxes clear. Lineout Bristol.

Knock on from Bristol at the lineout and Saints have the scrum. 

Saints defend hard to hold Bristol's attack but they're penalised at the breakdown for not rolling away. Williams puts it into the corner.  

Free kick Bristol at the scrum as Saints are pre-engaged and they take it quickly. 

Saints are found offside from the kick-off and Bristol choose the scrum option to restart play on halfway. 

Advantage coming for Saints as Bristol fail to roll away and we come back for it. Smith puts the penalty into touch but the ball is kept in by Bristol and they play on.

We're back underway at Ashton Gate as Smith gets us restarted. Bristol push forwards from he restart but solid Saints' defence forces the box kick from Randall. Hendy is there and Saints play on.

Two changes for Saints at the break: A Waller and Hill enter play as we restart, with E Waller and Petch making way.

Solid at the scrum and Bristol are forced to get it out. Saints defence works hard to push Bristol back but the home side keep coming.

Bristol maul into Saints' 22 but the chip over the top finds Braley's hands. Saints play a few phases before Braley clears. Bristol can't gather it but neither can Saints and the knock on comes off Northampton hands. Scrum Bristol just outside Saints' 22.

Bristol come forwards off the lineout but there's a pull back off the ball from Saints and the penalty goes Bristol's way. MacGinty puts the ball into touch for a Bristol lineout.

The ball comes loose at the lineout and Bristol dive on it. The ball comes wide and though it's scrappy there, it's Saints hands that touch it last before it heads into touch. Lineout Bristol on halfway.

Bristol steal the lineout though and Randall boxes clear. Lineout Saints back outside Bristol's 22 now.

Penalty Saints at the breakdown there as Bristol put their hands on the floor. Smith puts it into touch for a lineout in the corner. 

No conversion from MacGinty this time and Randall sends the box kick up on the restart. Collins is there and Saints play on on the halfway line now.

Saints defend Bristol's maul again and Randall clears. Collins is under the high ball and Braley boxes himself. Piutau gathers and Bristol play on.

Saints get close again but they're penalised for rolling on the floor after a tackle has been made and MacGinty puts the ball into touch for a lineout.

Another advantage coming for Saints and we come back for that when a looping pass to Skosan finds touch. Saints tap and go with the penalty again.

Randall clears from the back of the lineout again but it's scrappy under the high ball again and Bristol just jump on it. Harding breaks through on halfway and the home side play on in Saints' 22 now.

Solid at the scrum and Bristol use it. But there's an intercept there from Braley and Smith clears long to touch. Lineout Bristol on their own 22. 

Bristol try to maul forwards from the lineout but Saints hold firm and Randall is forced for box kick from the back. Graham is under it but the ball comes forwards as it comes down. Scrum Bristol.

Saints pressure hard in Bristol's 22 now, they whip the ball left and right looking for space but eventually the penalty goes Bristol's way. MacGinty puts the ball into touch for a lineout.

Randall sends the ball high off the back of the lineout and Saints whip the ball wide but Hutchinson's chip over the top is dotted down over the try line by Bristol. Goal line drop Bristol again.

Saints rush up in defence from the restart and the ball bobbles into touch. But it's deemed to have come off Saints hands last and Bristol have the lineout inside their own 22.

Coles rises highest for the restart and Braley sends the box kick up. Bristol come back at Saints but good defence from the away side holds play on halfway.

Bristol are found offside as the ball comes down though and Saints have the penalty. Smith points to the posts.

Matavesi and Salakaia-Loto truck it up for Saints before it comes wide to Skosan. The winger chips over the top but Radradra is just there first and dots down over the try line. Goal line drop to Bristol. 

Collins puts Smith through a gap for Saints and the men in purple are quickly up into Bristol's 22. But the home side turn the ball over there and Randall clears to touch. Lineout Saints.

Good defence from Saints hold Bristol's progress from the lineout and eventually Randall puts the ball on his boot. Collins is under it though and Saints play on. 

Free kick Bristol there though as Saints are pinged for a dummy throw but Skosan returns the ball of his boot with interest. Lineout Bristol on their own 22 now.

Braley returns the kick-off Bristol's way and good pressure from Saints seen Bristol send it short into touch in response. Lineout Saints just outside Bristol's 22.
