REPORTS TO: Head of Operations
LOCATION: cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens
OVERVIEW:
Northampton Saints are delighted to be offering the opportunity for a university student with an interest in event, venue and operations management in an elite sporting context to join our team for a one-year Industrial Placement. The individual will support the Operations team in delivering unmissable events and maintaining the quality and safety of our exceptional venue.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Play a key role in the delivery of matches and events at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens
- Working with departments across the organisation, ensure that all matches and events are delivered to the highest possible standard and that all departments are aware of any impacts on their day-to-day work at the venue
- Provide administrative support to the Operations team, ensuring that all health and safety documentation relating to contractor visits is captured on the correct system
- Research and present ideas for improvements to the stadium infrastructure that will save costs, improve health and safety, or customer experience
- Attend Club meetings and briefings when required
The duties and responsibilities outlined above are not exhaustive and the successful applicant may be required to undertake additional duties to meet the needs of the organisation.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE:
- A student undertaking an undergraduate degree (ideally with a focus on Sports Management, Events or Business)
- Highly motivated and organised with a keen interest in understanding the operations of a leading multi-use sporting venue
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Some knowledge of commercial business
- Good communication skills with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders
- IT literate with ability to utilise Excel to collate, organise and present data
