NATURE AND SCOPE: Supporting the Marketing Department in driving revenue and audience growth through marketing activity and administrative tasks
LOCATION: cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens, Northampton. Travel such as is required to fulfil duties
HOURS OF WORK: 35 hours per week. Full-time, 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Matchdays may be required on occasion
SALARY: Up to £30,000 (depending on experience)
ROLE:
This role presents an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join our Marketing Department. Although this role has a key focus on CRM and audience growth, the day-to-day role also offers a broad remit with plenty of scope to have real impact across inbound and outbound marketing through both traditional and digital channels. The successful candidate will join a great team and drive growth in the organisation, as well as gain plenty of personal development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the Club’s email marketing and CRM output, writing compelling copy and analysing data to improve output and results.
- Maintain high engagement rates with the Club's marketing output, particularly towards email open rates, click-through rates, and other key performance indicators with data segmentation and audience knowledge.
- Support the Marketing Manager in developing integrated marketing campaigns to promote the services and events available at Northampton Saints.
- Develop personalised marketing touch points that align with departmental priorities and objectives across all Northampton Saints activities and other events.
- Plan weekly and long-term marketing activity, communicating effectively with all departments to deliver high-quality assets in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively across all departments to support revenue growth. Departments include but not limited to; Ticketing, Hospitality, Memberships, Retail, Community and Conference & Events.
- Feedback to the creative team to ensure visual content is on brand and supporting the overarching marketing strategy.
- Drive data capture to grow and engage the Club’s audience; manage existing activity and develop new initiatives.
- Work with external stakeholders to support the success of Club projects and league-wide initiatives.
- Collect and analyse customer feedback through supporter surveys and NPS scores to help improve customer experiences.
- Support in the delivery of experiential marketing activity and stadium events.
- Support in paid marketing activity, building ad sets to complement our organic digital footprint.
- Keep up-to-date with marketing trends and apply any relevant findings for the benefit of Club marketing output.
- Perform other related ad-hoc related duties, as required. This may include matchdays.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in marketing. Preferably in a CRM role using an email marketing platform – dot digital, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Mailchimp, etc.
- An interest in paid marketing. Experience would be preferred but not essential.
- Organised, motivated and able to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- A confident communicator who can develop strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Must be an effective team member with sufficient flexibility and willingness to take on varied roles and tasks.
- Strong administrative skills.
- Attention to detail imperative.
- IT literate, with a good knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Relevant qualification in marketing at degree level is valued, but not essential.
- Interest in sport/rugby is helpful to the role, but not essential.
- Experience working in a professional sporting environment (desirable).
