BACKGROUND:
Northampton Saints are looking for a highly motivated Community Rugby Coach to join our the team across the Club’s region – within Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Suffolk. This is an exciting new opportunity for a passionate individual to join Northampton Saints in an essential role responsible for delivering impactful community rugby programmes at schools, clubs, and within the community across our region.
Our Community Coaches are the face of the organization and play a vital role in growing the game of rugby across the local community. They establish and develop relationships with the wider community by delivering a quality coaching service, whilst promoting Northampton Saints amongst key stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be engaging, personable, confident, and experienced in coaching rugby.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To deliver high quality coaching sessions to people of all ages, genders and abilities, within schools, rugby clubs and within the local community.
- Be creative and forthcoming with new ideas to grow the club and generate greater efficiency across our delivery programme.
- Working alongside other community rugby coaches to deliver various community initiatives.
- Promote Northampton Saints through community events, roadshows, activities and matchdays.
- To ensure safety and welfare of all participants during coaching and training sessions.
- To take a professional approach to the planning, preparation and organization of coaching and training sessions.
- To promote and support Northampton Saints products.
- To deliver and assist in the planning of, camps, matchday festivals and tournaments.
- Report participant data at sessions to the central reporting system, as and when required.
- To maintain a sound knowledge of the clubs safeguarding policies, reporting procedures and process of communication.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum RFU England Rugby Coaching Award (Level 2)
- Experience in coaching a rugby
- Valid UK Driving License
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
