Saints kept their preseason without defeat as they racked up 40 points against Saracens in the final test of the summer at Allianz Park.

Heading into the game completely unbeaten thus far in their preseason campaign, Saints' Under-18s got off to a great start with a break away score for Alex Coles who only returned from his tour with England U18s a few days ago.

Good pressure from Saints saw them camped inside Saracens' 22 and a turnover in contact got them even closer to the whitewash but handling errors kept them from scoring a second for a time.

A great break from Luke Risman and an offload to Sam Cappaert got Saints back in an attacking position but Connor Tupai found himself just in touch before he could finish.

A Saracens scrum deep within Saints' 22 looked dangerous and it was with the home side getting over in the next phase and converting the level the game after 20 minutes.

A second try for Saints was not far away though as the backs spun the ball wide before the forwards took over in close quarters to send Coles over for his second of the game.

Saracens pushed their guests hard but good defence from Saints' youngsters held them out and Saints turned the attack on their hosts to send Jake Johnson over in the corner after some brilliant hands just before the break.

Saints got close after an interception from Ollie Sleightholme but Saracens defend well to hold them out. It wasn't long before the score came though; Charlie Blackmore sent a cross field kick over for Jordan Milburn to chase, which the winger did brilliantly. Blackmore added the extras too.

Saints' fifth comes through Connor Tupai after a break from Sleightholme put them straight back on the front foot. After a penalty and a scrum to Saints, the fly-half darted through the last defence to score before Blackmore added the extras.

Saracens pushed their guests in the final minutes but Saints earned a turnover at the scrum within their own 22 and barged their way back up the pitch and got themselves close through a Joe Wallace and Charles Rylands link up but the ball went forwards just before the whitewash.

Tupai got his second not long after as Saints pressured in their hosts' 22 again in the game's dying minutes. Saracens crossed out wide for a consolation score at the death but Saints had already done more than enough to finish their preseason unbeaten.
