The wait for top-class rugby to return to Franklin’s Gardens officially ends on Thursday 12 September, with Northampton Saints today confirming they will lock horns with Leinster in a preseason friendly.
The 2019/20 campaign is just around the corner and the first hit-out for Chris Boyd’s side (which kicks off at 7.30pm) will also give Saints supporters a taste of what’s to come in Europe, with Northampton drawing the Leinstermen in Pool One of the Heineken Champions Cup.
The men in Black, Green and Gold will showcase their new 2019/20 home kit for the first time on the field against the Dublin-based side – and supporters will not have to wait long for more supercharged action at Franklin’s Gardens as the Premiership Rugby 7s competition kicks off the very next day.
This will be Saints’ only preseason clash, with the Premiership Rugby Cup competition set to get underway the following weekend, and tickets are on sale now.
Prices during the Early Bird window* are set at £12 (adults) and £4 (juniors), while children ten and under get in for just £1. Season Ticket Holders will once again have Saints’ preseason match included within their package – provided they renew or purchase their ticket before September 12.
Please note that seating at this game is unreserved and you may not be able to sit in your usual Season Ticket seat on this occasion.
