Rory Hutchinson named in Scotland’s Guinness Six Nations squad

Rory Hutchinson has been named in Scotland’s squad for the 2025 Guinness Six Nations.

Fresh from his Saints contract renewal announcement being made this week, the versatile back is among the 37 players selected by head coach Gregor Townsend for the annual competition.

The 28-year-old returned to the international scene last year, earning his ninth cap in the Autumn Nations Cup victory over Portugal.

Former Northampton Saints Academy forward Marshall Sykes, now of Edinburgh Rugby, is also included.

After facing Italy on the opening weekend of the 2025 Guinness Six Nations on Saturday 1 February, Scotland then host Ireland on Sunday 9 February, before heading to Twickenham on Saturday 22 February to contest the Calcutta Cup. They then have a home match against Wales on Saturday 8 March before finishing up with a trip to Paris to face France on Saturday 15 March.
