Henry Pollock will captain England Under-18s on Saturday afternoon against France, with Reuben Logan also set to make his debut.
Flanker Pollock, fresh from signing his first professional contract with Saints, picks up the role once more having led his country for the Under-18 International Series in South Africa last summer, where he was also named Forward of the Tournament.
Pollock has since skippered Saints to their second straight Under-18s Premiership Final, featuring three times for the first team in the Premiership Rugby Cup, too.
Logan meanwhile could make his debut for England Under-18s should he feature as a replacement. Like Pollock, the former Midlands Central talent penned a Senior Academy deal at the Gardens last Friday.
The game is being streamed live on England Rugby’s YouTube page from 12.30pm, with Saints Under-18s coach Will Parkin also involved in his role as Attach Coach with the group.
Head coach Jonathan Pendlebury said: “Well done to the twelve players who will pull on an England shirt for the first time this Saturday. We’ve selected a team with previous international experience, including many who toured South Africa last year, as well as players who we feel will wear the rose with pride and play well at this level.
“The squad has had excellent preparation and time to bond during our development camps as we built towards our 2023 season, which kickstarts against France at Molesey Road. Schools, colleges, junior and community clubs, and academies have also put in a mountain of work to help prepare their players for what will forever be a highlight of their individual rugby journeys.
“France is a strong rugby nation and our matchday 24 is relishing the opportunity to take to the pitch against them, while pushing the boundaries of their own abilities.”
