Northampton Saints welcome Aviron Bayonnais to cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens to play Round 3 of the Investec Champions Cup under the lights on Friday 12 January (kick-off: 8pm).
The men in Black, Green and Gold are unbeaten so far in their European campaign, securing impressive wins at both Glasgow Warriors and RC Toulon in the competition’s opening rounds.
Friday’s clash will mark the first time in the Club’s history that the two teams have locked horns, with the French side – who sit tenth in the Top14 table currently – heading to cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens.

+ TICKETS
- Tickets for Northampton Saints vs Bayonne are still available to purchase HERE – with prices starting at £23 adults / £8 child*.
- Your match tickets are attached to your purchase confirmation email – please ensure you have these either printed on A4 paper, viewable on your smartphone, or added to your smartphone digital wallet before arriving at the stadium. Screenshots of your tickets are not accepted by the scanners on our turnstiles.
- Meanwhile, 23/24 Season Ticket Holders will be able to access the ground using their Season Ticket cards.
- You can now enter the ground via the doors to the Rodber Bar, where your ticket will be scanned – allowing you to pick up a drink or some food on the way to your seat!
- Friday’s match marks the first in the ‘Six Games, One Ticket’ Bundle – if you’ve purchased one of these, you can collect it from the Ticket Office before the match.
+ TICKET OFFICE
- The Ticket Office will be open within the Saints Store from 12pm on matchday until 5pm, with the matchday windows opening from 5pm until the end of half-time (approx. 9.15pm).
- Those who have not printed their tickets at home, or are not able to show their barcode on a mobile phone, will be able to have their matchday ticket printed at the Ticket Office for a £2.50 fee.
+ SAINTS STORE
- The Saints Store is open from 12pm on matchday until kick-off at 8pm, before reopening for 30 minutes after the final whistle.
- Once you have entered the ground, you will not be able to access the Saints Store but the Village Store will be open throughout matchday.
- There are now two stores in the Supporter Village, with the main Village Store and new Trailer Store open from 6pm until 30 minutes after the final whistle.
+ ENTERTAINMENT

- We’ll be joined by solo-artist Kelly Jane in the Supporter Village pre-match and in the Rodber Bar post-match.
- Oundle School Combined Cadet Force Band will also be performing on Friday, with the Jazz Band treating us to some tunes in the Village pre-match before the whole group return in the stadium at half-time.
- Head along to our Inclusion Hub to have a go at our passing cage and visit our face painters.
- Friday’s Club of the Match is Leighton Buzzard RFC, and the Club will form the Guard of Honour as the teams run out.
- Club Partner Spirit Hyundai will be in the Village on Friday showcasing the new Ioniq 5 – see them to find out more.
- Acti+ will also be in the Supporter Village before the match, with samples of their drinks.
- Towcestrians Under-11s will also be bucket shaking around the stadium on Friday – please give generously!
+ FOR THE KIDS

+ TRAVEL + ATTENDANCE
- With some congestion expected due to Friday evening traffic, please allow plenty of time to get to cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens.
- Please also be aware that we are expecting a large crowd to Saints vs Bayonne so make sure you get into your seat or place on the terrace in good time on matchday.
- Given the expected attendance, the Club requests that supporters refrain from standing at the side of the pitch to watch the warm-up to prevent congestion. Please watch the warm-up from your seat. You may be asked to take your seat or place by a steward if you are obstructing walkways around the stadium.
+ RECYCLING
- Please note, the Club has appointed Grundon Waste Management as our new provider – who focus on reducing carbon emissons by making it easier to segregate waste across the cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens site.
- Our stadium waste bins are clearly labelled and colour-coded, to help supporters dispose of all waste in a climate-positive way:
- Green Bins – Mixed Recycling (tins, cans, plastic bottles, paper, cardboard)
- Grey Bins – Food Waste and Compostable Packaging (all fast food containers from our vendors, meat, fish, bones, leftovers, coffee grounds, teabags)
- Black Bins – General Waste (anything non-recyclable which is not in the above lists, e.g crisp packets)
- Please help Saints to recycle waste more efficiently – a little effort will make a big difference!
+ FOOD + DRINK
- A wide selection of bars and food stalls are open within the Village and stadium throughout matchday – please see the map above for full details of all the Food & Drink outlets around the Stadium.
- You can also find food units from Saul’s of Spratton and West Cornwall Pasties in the Rodber Bar.
- Mulled Cider and Hot Toddys will also be available from the Supporter Village.
- New for the 2023/24 season, Loaded Fries will be available as a hot food option within the Members Bar.
- Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are all available around the ground.
- Please be aware that cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens is a cashless stadium; all bars and food outlets will only accept card payments.
- There will be a staggered bar closure around the stadium, ending in the Rodber Bar at 10.45pm.
+ MEMBERSHIPS + REWARDS
- All Season Ticket Holders and Saints Members will earn 15 Saints Rewards points for attending this fixture.
- You can also earn an additional 30 points for entering the ground within one hour of the gates opening at 6pm.
- Link your payment card to your Saints Rewards account (instructions HERE) and spend at the bar and food outlets around the ground to earn even more points on your account.
+ CAR PARKING
- Car Parking (in Claret Car Park, NN5 5JT) will be available for £7.50 on the day via contactless payment upon arrival. Car parking tickets are not available to purchase in advance. Car Parks open at 5pm, with the stadium opening its gates at 6pm.
- Please also be aware that there will be no movement in the VIP Car Park from ten minutes before the full-time whistle for approximately 25 minutes. As usual, traffic management will be in place in Car Park D, Claret Car Park and on Edgar Mobbs Way.
- After the Car Parks close at midnight on Friday, there will be no access to any vehicle left behind until Monday morning.
- Given that cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens sits in a residential area of the town, Saints strongly urge all supporters to use the Club’s car parks. Should they choose not to do so, supporters must park with due care and respect for the needs of local residents and businesses.
+ SMOKING
- cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens is a NO SMOKING stadium. Smoking and the use of e-cigarettes is not permitted anywhere in the stadium or Supporter Village pre, during or post-match.
- Supporters wishing to smoke will be allowed to exit the stadium during half-time to use one of the designated smoking areas outside Gates 1, 2, 3 and 4 – stewards will be on hand to direct you and will manage exit and re-entry into the stadium.
+ ECOCUPS
- Please note, refunds on EcoCup deposits will now ONLY be made to over-18s – please do not encourage children to collect EcoCups that do not belong to your group, or ask other supporters for their cups.
- Refunds on EcoCup deposits will ONLY be made contactlessly (via card) – cash refunds are no longer issued.
- Refunds on EcoCup returns will be available at at least one till unit in all bars across the stadium.
- Alternatively, EcoCup deposits can be donated into one of the Northampton Saints Foundation’s branded bins around the ground – Northampton Saints Foundation will receive a donation for every cup deposited, with funds raised supporting life-changing programmes for children across the county. - Don’t forget, you can drop your EcoCup in one of the Northampton Saints Foundation’s branded bins around the ground – the Foundation will receive a donation for every cup deposited, with funds raised supporting life-changing programmes for children across the county. + OTHER IMPORTANT INFO
- As the teams run out onto the pitch on Friday, there will be a pyrotechnic display in front of the Carlsberg Stand – please be advised this may include a series of loud bangs/crackles.
- The Club requests that supporters refrain from standing at the side of the pitch to watch the warm-up to prevent congestion. Please watch the warm-up from your seat.
- As cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens is a front-loading stadium, Northampton Saints asks supporters to refrain from moving around the stadium while the match is in play to avoid blocking the view of your fellow supporters. Please note, you may be held back from returning to your seat by our stewards until there is a break in play.
