Northampton Saints’ Fraser Dingwall has been named the cinch Player of the Month for February, with the centre’s impressive performances in Black, Green and Gold throughout the month seeing him claim almost half of the supporter vote.
Northampton’s three outings across February – where Saints faced London Irish in the Premiership Rugby Cup semi-final as well as Sale Sharks and Gloucester Rugby in the Gallagher Premiership – were taken into account this month.
And it was 23-year-old Dingwall who won some 42% of the February vote to claim his first award this season as he edged out fellow nominees Alex Moon, Angus Scott-Young and Robbie Smith.
Stand-in skipper Dingwall shone in Saints’ attack across the month as he returned to the side, scoring the match-winning try against Sale Sharks before backing that effort up with another decisive score against Gloucester.

Throughout the season, cinch will also be offering up a range of prizes for those who vote for the award, with one lucky supporter each month selected at random after voting closes.
This month’s winner was David Ashby, who was selected at random out of over 500 supporters who voted on the cinch Player of the Month award to win a personalised signed Saints shirt.
