The scrum-half is one of two Saints in the squad - Alex Waller among the replacements - and is looking forward to captaining an exciting looking side for the first time in Cork.
“When Stuart [Lancaster] told me I was captain, it adds that bit more of a buzz,” Dickson told the RFU Podcast. “It’s very exciting having such a good group here, there’s a lot of senior players and a lot of youth aswell.
“It’s going to be a full on test this weekend and it's a stepping stone into the Six Nations really as it’s the first international game of 2015. It’s a privilege for me to lead these boys, an exciting time and I’m really looking forward to it.”
The game kicks off at 7:30pm and is being shown live on Sky Sports 2 HD.
