Northampton Saints vs Saracens

Saracens push up to the try line and play on in the game's final seconds.

Saints halt Saracens' maul and Van Zyl is forced to get the ball out. 

Solid at this scrum and Saints get the ball away. But Saracens manage to get over the ball out wide and Vunipola puts the resulting penalty into the corner. 

Saracens come forwards and make it to Saints' 22 but there's another knock on there. Scrum Saints again.

Free kick Saints at the scrum as it comes down before the ball is in and Smith sends it high. Saracens get under it and play on on the halfway line.

But solid defence from Saints eventually pay dividends in the form of a knock on. Scrum Saints to restart.

Saracens get up to the five metre line now. 

Saracens push into Saints' 22 now and there's another advantage coming there too as Saints go off their feet. Moon gets over the ball but we come back for the penalty and Goode takes it quickly. 

Eventually we come back for it and Vunipola puts it into touch for a lineout on Saints' 22. 

Saints take the lineout quickly and come forwards but aerial tennis ensues after that. Saracens are the first to take it into contact and earn an advantage too as Saints fail to roll away. They play on halfway with it.

Scrappy under the high ball on the restart but Saracens come away with it. Van Zyl sends the box kick up and Harris regathers but he's pushes into touch. Lineout Saints on halfway now.

Saints gather the restart and charge forwards. They think they've scored but are held up over the whitewash. Goal line drop for Saracens.

Saints defence pushes Saracens back outside the five metre channel but still the away team push.

Harris breaks free from the lineout and has Earl on his shoulder, but the back row is brought up short of the try line and Saracens are forced to push from close range. 

Matavesi and Mitchell take their leave as we set the lineout, with Cruse and James taking their places.

Penalty Saracens at the lineout though and Vunipola clears to touch. Lineout Saracens on halfway this time.

Saints halt Saracens progress on halfway and Goode clears. Mitchell marks his kick and returns it to touch with interest, lineout Saracens on their own 22. 

Saints gather the restart and Mitchell sends it high off his boot. Goode is under it and Saracens play on.

Coles replaces Ribbans as we restart.

Advantage coming for Saints as Saracens are found offside and we come back for the penalty. Saints take the penalty quickly and push from close range now.

Saints push forwards from the lineout, working up to the five metre line quickly. Still they push.

E Waller replaces A Waller as we set the lineout.

Saints push into Saracens half and Furbank hacks through into space in behind. Goode is there but his clearing kick heads into touch. Lineout Saints. 

Moon taps the lineout down to Mitchell and Saints clear. Saracens  gather the high ball and De Haas returns the kick. Collins is under it and Saints play on.

Smith sends the resulting penalty into touch for a lineout.

Saracens send the high ball up and Mitchell is there to mark it. The scrum-half sends the ball into touch on the restart for a Saracens lineout.

Mitchell breaks through and has Moon on his shoulder for the offload. The lock charges forwards into Saracens' 22 but the away team get over the ball there and clear. Collins is back to gather but his kick finds touch. Lineout Saracens in Saints' half. 

Furbank gathers De Haas' clearing kick from the restart and Saints play on on halfway now.

Graham replaces Augustus as we restart.

Over the top from Saints and Ludlam is there. Mitchell box kicks high and Saracens gather.

Saracens send the ball up and turn the ball over at the breakdown as it comes down. Hartley scampers down the left but he's pushes into touch by a scratch Saints' defence. Lineout Saints on their own five metre line.

No one gathers De Haas' high kick but Saints are found accidentally offside as they dive on the loose ball. Scrum Saracens.

No conversion from Smith for his own score but Saints push forwards will the restart before Mitchell sends the box kick up. Goode is under it and Saracens play on halfway. 

Hill and Salakaia-Loto replace Davison and Lawes as we restart.

Saracens dive on loose ball and run it back at Saints but Ludlam does the same to a stray Saracens pass. Smith hacks through for Freeman to chase but Segun just gets to the ball first and dots it down over the try line. Goal line drop out Saracens.

Saints whip the ball wide right on the restart, with Ludlam charging forwards up there. It comes back the other way and Saints push into Saracens' half now.

Ramm is replaced by Collins as we restart.

Mitchell sends the box kick up from the restart and Saracens knock on the high ball. Scrum Saints.

Vunipola gets play restart here at cinch Stadium at Franklin's Gardens for the second half.

More aerial tennis and it's eventually Saints who find touch after Smith pops up from the floor to Mitchell to clear. Lineout Saracens back on halfway. 

Mitchell sends the box kick high off the restart and Saracens win the aerial battle for the ball. De Haas sends it up too and Mitchell is under this one. Saints play on.

Lawes takes the lineout and Saints play on, with advantage coming as Saracens close the gap at the lineout.

Penalty Saints at this scrum and Smith puts it into the corner.

Saints win the aerial tennis as De Haas knocks on under the high ball. Saints gather and play on but just as their advantage ends there's a forward pass into touch from the hosts. Saracens choose the scrum to restart.

Overthrown lineout from Saracens but they regather and push at Saints' 22 now.

Penalty Saracens at the scrum though as it comes down and Vunipola puts the ball into touch for a lineout in Saints' 22. 

Big shove from Saints but Saracens manage to get the ball away. De Haas sends the ball high and Freeman is there again. He finds Furbank and the fullback slice through Saracens' line to halfway but there's a big hit on Smith there and the fly-half just loses the ball in contact. Scrum Saracens.

De Haas sends the box kick up and Saints gather. Augustusu gets play back up to halfway with a charging carry and Hutchinson makes ground too. There's space out wide but there's another knock on from Saints at they try to get the ball there at pace. Scrum Saracens. 

Saracens knock on from the lineout and Lawes dives on the loose ball, Saints whip the ball wide but there's another knock on there. This one is from Saints and Saracens will have the scrum. 

Saints defend hard and De Haas puts the ball on his boot. There's a contest for the high ball and Saracens just win it, but pressure from Saints' defence pushes them back inside their own half. But Saints fail to roll away at the breakdown there and Vunipola puts the resulting penalty into touch for a lineout in Saints' half. 

Freeman takes the restart again and Smith sends it long downfield after a few phases. Goode gathers and Saracens play on on halfway. 

Mitchell boxes high and Saracens return the kick, with Freeman under the high ball again. Ramm charges down the right, chipping  over the top to himself to get play up to the five metre line.

No conversion from Smith but Freeman regathers the restart and Saints play on.

Lawes is up for the lineout and Saints come forwards. There's a deliberate knock on from Saracens there and Smith puts the resulting penalty into the corner.

Lewington clears the restart and Saints have the lineout inside Saracens' half.

Penalty Saracens off the lineout though as Saints fail to roll away at the breakdown. Vunipola points to the posts.

Saints' defence pushes Saracens back out of the 22 and they chip over the top. But it comes off a Saints hand before it heads into touch. Lineout Saracens in Saints' half. 

De Haas sends it high off the lineout and Freeman is under it. Saints come forwards but are penalised at the breakdown and Vunipola sends it into touch for another lineout, this one in Saints' 22. 

After a few resets the scrum penalty goes Saracens' way and Vunipola clears to touch. Lineout Saracens.

Saints are pushing forwards from the lineout but the ball doesn't quite go to hand as it comes wide. Scrum Saracens in their own 22. 

Smith puts the ball into the corner to restart us with a lineout in Saracens' 22. 

Knock on in the tackle from Saracens as Saints push forwards and we'll have the scrum. 

Saints think they've scored through Ribbans but a trip to the TMO finds the lock to have knocked on over the line. Goal line drop out to Saracens to restart.

Lawes is up for the lineout and Saints come forwards quickly. Ramm charges up to the five metre line and still Saints push. 

De Haas sends it high again on the restart and Furbank gets under it. Saints come forwards before earning a penalty at the breakdown. Smith puts it into the corner for a lineout there. 

The scrum comes down and the penalty goes Saracens' way. Vunipola sends the ball into touch for a lineout in Saints' half. 

Mitchell hacks over the top but the ball bobbles dead and we come back for a Saracens scrum to restart.

Saints come forwards before Dingwall chips through. Saracens dive on the bouncing ball first and De Haas sends it high again to clear. Ramm is there and Saints play on again. 

De Haas sends the kick-off high and Saints push back into Saracens' half quickly.
