With a comprehensive six-try win over Sale under their belts from Monday evening, Sam Olver says the Wanderers are keen to get back into the swing of things when competitive action returns later this month.
Having started at inside centre against the Jets, Olver finished the game in his more natural position at fly half and was pleased to get the benefit of a full 80 minutes under his belt.
“It was a good win,” he told SaintsTV. “I think some of us were a little rusty having not played for a while, but it was nice to get out there for a lot of the younger lads and those who haven’t had a lot of game time.
“We’ve got a league game coming up against Sale again so it was a good opportunity to get back out on the playing field, blow off some of the cobwebs and get going again.”
The next scheduled game for the Wandies is a Monday night trip to Sale on March 28th and with Worcester also yet to visit Franklin’s Gardens, the playoffs remain very much within their reach.
