After a hotly-contested supporter vote, Northampton Saints No. 8 Juarno Augustus has been named Travis Perkins Player of the Month for December.
The 24-year-old back row claimed the award after beating fellow nominees Dan Biggar, Lewis Ludlam and Alex Mitchell for his efforts across the Gallagher Premiership and Heineken Champions Cup.

Augustus scored his first points in Black, Green and Gold in December and quickly added three more tries to his tally, posting a pair of doubles against both Bath and Harlequins before the turn of the year. And the No. 8 also shone on the other side of the ball, making some 48 tackles across the month while missing just four.
Saints and Travis Perkins have joined forces this season to offer supporters the chance to win fantastic prizes, while rewarding Northampton’s players for their stellar performances throughout the campaign.
This month’s winner was Jonathan Sharples, who was selected at random out of over 500 supporters who voted on the Travis Perkins Player of the Month award to win £50 worth of Saints Store vouchers.
