Northampton Saints vs Gloucester Rugby

No conversion from Furbank out wide and Gloucester get over the ball to earn a penalty on the restart. Atkinson puts it into the corner. 

Dingwall sets Furbank through and he finds Freeman. Gloucester are penalised at the breakdown as they work into the 22. Furbank puts it into the corner. 

Knock on Gloucester at the lineout and Saints have the scrum. 

Saints work up to Gloucester's 22 but there's a penalty against them there at the breakdown. Atkinson puts the ball into touch for a lineout just inside Saints' half. 

No conversion from Furbank out wide and Gloucester get the ball back from the restart. But Mayanavanua gets over the ball and Furbank puts the ball into touch for a lineout. 

Atkinson sends the kick wide though and Saints have the 22 drop out to restart. 

Penalty Gloucester as Saints go off their feet and Atkinson points to the posts. 

Gloucester come forwards off the scrum but Saints strip the ball and play on in their own 22. 

Mayanavanua replaces Coles as we set the scrum. 

Saints whip the ball wide off the restart but there's a knock on there and Gloucester have the scrum. 

Saints maul forwards and there's an advantage coming too as Gloucester infringe there. 

Penalty Saints at the scrum and Furbank puts the ball into the corner. 

Millar Mills is away from the restart and has Freeman inside him, but the offload comes forwards off the centre and Gloucester have the scrum. 

James replaces Mitchell as we restart. 

Huge shove from Saints at the scrum and Mitchell steals the ball, Saints play on.

Saints come forwards from the restart but there's a forward pass there and Gloucester will have the scrum. 

Odendaal replaces Smith as we restart. 

Furbank is through from the restart and Saints are back into Gloucesters' half quickly. But Gloucester get over the ball to earn the penalty and Atkinson puts it into touch for a lineout. 

Lawes is replaced by Graham as we restart. 

Matavesi replaces Langdon as we set the lineout. 

Saints push into Gloucester's half and earn a penalty there as Gloucester fail to roll away. Smith puts the ball into the corner for a lineout there. 

And that's the last action of the loosehead in this match as Waller is replaced by Iyogun as we restart. 

Lawes is up to steal the ball and Saints are off again.

Gloucester attack hard and eventually push into Saints' 22 but Millar Mills strips the ball. Saints whip it wide to Furbank and he charges forwards, with Sleightholme on his shoulder. The winger chips over the top but Gloucester get there first and Saints are penalised for not releasing there. Atkinson puts the ball into touch for a lineout just outside their own 22. 

Coles loses the ball in contact as he makes it over the 22 and Gloucester play on. Saints get over the ball but are penalised for not rolling away and Atkinson puts the ball into touch for a lineout just inside Saints' half.

Mitchell returns the ball to Gloucester on the restart but Saints strip the ball in a tackle and Saints play on. Smith hares up the middle and Saints are up to the 22 now. 

Changes for Saints at the break: Millar Mills and Seabrook enter play, with Davison and Hendy making way. 

Atkinson gets us restart here at cinch Stadium at Franklin's Gardens! 

Saints disrupt Gloucesters' maul and force Varney to play the ball. Lawes steals the ball though and Saints play on again. 

Smith finds touch well from the restart and Gloucester will have the lineout back on halfway. 

Penalty Saints at the scrum and Saints tap it quickly again. 

Free kick Saints at the scrum and Saints go quickly. Lawes gets play up to the 22 before Freeman chips for Coles to chase. Clark gets there first but he carries the ball over the tryline. Scrum Saints on the five metre line. 

Gloucester keep the ball but there's a forward pass from Atkinson as it comes out to the midfield and Saints will have the scrum there. 

Saints whip the ball wide but there's a knock on out there and Gloucester will have the scrum. 

Smith's conversion comes off the right upright this time but Langdon claims the restart and Saints are up to the halfway line once more. 

Penalty Saints at the scrum and Saints take it quickly again. 

No try says the TMO and Gloucester have a scrum to restart. 

Saints push up to the five metre line and earn a penalty there too Gloucester go offside. They take it quickly and think they've scored through Scott-Young but we're with the TMO to see if there's a knock on...

Gloucester take the ball at the lineout and Varney send it high. Gloucester are found offside when the ball is kicked and Smith puts the ball into the corner again. 

Mitchell sends the box kick up on the restart and Hathaway is under it. Atkinson returns it to Furbank and the fullback finds touch well. Lineout Gloucester back inside their own half. 

Penalty Saints at the scrum as Gloucester bring it down. Saints take it quickly.

Scott-Young rises highest for the lineout and Dingwall and Augustus get play over the gain line. Augustus is involved again to get play into the 22 but there's a forward pass from Saints as they reach the five metre line. Scrum Gloucester there. 

Free kick Gloucester at the scrum as Saints push early and Atkinson finds touch for a Saints lineout back near halfway. 

Not straight at the lineout from Saints though and Gloucester will have the scrum. 

Advantage coming for Saints as Gloucester fail to roll away and Smith puts the ball into the corner when we come back for the penalty. Lineout Saints there. 

Gloucester keep the ball at the scrum but Saints turn the ball over. Smith hacks with Furbank and himself in chase and though Gloucester gather, they clear and Saints play on on the 22 now. 

Mitchell's box kick is charged down on the restart but Hendy is there to take it. He makes it out of the 22 but his offload goes forwards. Scrum Gloucester there.

Lawes is up for the lineout again and Saints are up to the five metre line quickly. 

Augustus and then Dingwall get play back inside Gloucester's half and there's a penalty for Saints there as Gloucester deliberately knock the ball on. Smith puts the ball into the corner for a lineout there. 

Varney sends the ball high off the resulting lineout and Saints play on on the halfway line. Morris intercepts a looping pass from Dingwall though and Varney clears again. Hendy is back to gather the high ball though and Saints play on again.

Gloucester send the ball back Saints' way and Sleightholme is away. He hacks through to chase himself but the ball heads into touch just over Gloucester's 22 line. 

Coles is up for the lineout and Saints maul forwards before Mitchell sets the backs free. Furbank hacks through for Sleightholme to chase but the ball beats the winger into touch. Lineout Gloucester on their own 22. 

Varney sends the ball high when Gloucester's attack out wide gets halted by Saints. Furbank is under it and Saints make it over the halfway line quickly. Mitchell clears downfield and Atkinson does well to keep it in play. He finds touch and Saints have the lineout on halfway. 

Saints gather the restart and Mitchell sends the box kick up. Saints regather the bouncing ball but Sleightholme can't quite gather as the ball comes out to him. Lineout Gloucester.

Lawes is up for the lineout and Saints move the ball at pace off the top of it. 

Varney sends the box kick up from the kick-off and finds touch. Lineout Saints.
